Job Description

As a Shipping Associate you will play a vital role in our shipping process, ensuring our award winning gourmet confections is packaged and shipped to consumers. Shipping Associates requires attention to detail, and for promoting a fun and creative working environment. We are seeking an individual to join our team in our mission of producing the finest gourmet confections! We pay 100% of the insurance premium for medical, dental, vision and life insurance. Weekly Pay. All hourly employee accrue paid time off and we offer 8 paid holidays annually. After 6 months of employment and working 1,000 hours, you are eligible for our 401k plan - we match 4%! Responsibilities
  • Pull customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, meeting company standards for quality and timeliness.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, damages, discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
  • Prioritize daily/weekly work to ensure excellence in customer service internally and externally.
  • Respond professionally to all concerns and questions.
  • Use hand trucks or pallet jacks to move, store, retrieve, and restock supplies.
  • Identifies and corrects errors. Reports issues to team and area leader.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and updated processes and procedures.
  • Assist production team (mainly focused in packaging) and receiving department when needed or during slow periods.
  • Communication with customer service, production, shipping providers, and supervisors.
  • Follow all food and personnel safety policies.
  • Assist in other areas as necessary. Qualifications
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Acute attention to detail while working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Basic math skills required, better math skills a plus
  • Reliable, responsible, dependable, and flexible (able to handle interruptions professionally)
  • Critical thinking using logic and reasoning to identify and propose solutions or alternate approaches to problems
  • Organizing, planning, and prioritizing workload to accomplish goals and meet deadlines
  • Using computers and computer systems to enter data, process information and communicate with fellow co-workers
  • Work safely and smartly following established procedures
  • A positive attitude, cheerful disposition, and enthusiastic approach to internal and external customer service
  • Previous shipping experience and receiving is preferred but not required Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50lbs.
