Job Description

We are looking for an experienced sales & shipping manager for product sales, invoicing and shipping. The position requires competance with the FedEX online shipping program and Sage/Peachtree accounting, and training for these programs is provided. Competance with MS Office is also needed. Employee will be responsible for daily ground currier, overnight currier, LTL, and export shipments and will maintain all requirements and credentials for shipping and HazMat shipping. Employee will be in charge of taking product orders by phone and email from both retail and wholesale customers, and completing and submitting bids. Employee will also assist with product trouble-shooting and warranty issues. In addition, the employee will monitor inventory levels. Experience with customer service and good people skills are a must! Responsibilities Process, package, and ship orders daily Generate invoices and submit daily Process credit card payments daily Monitor and manage accounts receivable Manage all important documents such as invoices, credit card receipts, contracts, purchase orders, safety data sheets, bills of lading etc. Inspect labels and other features of completed orders Ensure compliance of all HazMat shipments Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies Manage purchasing of all boxes, pallets, shipping materials, etc. Resolve issues with undelivered and delayed shipments Monitor inventory levels and report to management Skills Proven experience as sales and shipping manager Solid knowledge of logistics procedures Computer savvy with knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn Sage/Peachtree Accounting and FedEx Online Shipping software Excellent organizational and communication skills Attention to detail Problem-solving abilities Excellent people skills
