What Does Prolec GE Waukesha Do?
JOB SUMMARY
To receive, store, disburse, and ship all products and materials required to support plant operations.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives, inspects, disburses and processes items in accordance with procedures contained in
PDP-S-004.
Picks required parts using a pick list that are provided by production control in order to meet the defined production schedule. Performs cycle counting functions as outlines in
PDP-S-006.
(PDP-S-008). Determines correct movement or storage of all materials using available resources including computer terminal inquiries, reports, etc. Conducts research to resolve discrepancies in material identification and inventory. Assists in reconciliation of inventory and/or invoicing discrepancies. Identifies and reports discrepancies on Bill of Materials (Kit Pick List), production orders, packing slips, and Material Requisitions to the department Supervisor. Performs all assigned tasks in accordance with Manufacturing, Materials, and Engineering standards. Complies with all safety and general housekeeping practices. Performs shipping duties including document preparation, packaging, crating and loading of all outbound shipments of products and parts. Reviews and interprets Engineering Drawings to determine that the correct part is being received, issued or shipped. Utilizes measuring devices, scales, gauges, computer terminals, ladders, hand tools, power tools, air tools, lift trucks and specialized heavy equipment to perform duties. Performs all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Purchasing Manager, or Plant Management necessary to support plant operations. Comply with all safety policies and procedures and actively participate in defined zero harm safety culture driven initiatives. Hazmat certifiable
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES TOOLS AND MACHINERY
Computer terminals, calculators, copy/scan/fax machine, walk behind hydraulic lift, stand up lift, fork lift, trucks, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, electric or air power tools, cranes and others.
MATERIALS
Core steel, steel plates, electrical relays and breakers, bushings, gasses, petroleum products, welding supplies, paints, copper, paper, wood and other raw material involved in the manufacturing process. GENERAL Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to effectively work from engineering drawings, bills of materials, kit lists, ECMs, MRs, NCRs specifications, or computer system terminals and reports. Must have a working knowledge of products, basic inventory control methods, shipping procedures and work well with tools. A basic knowledge of carpentry skills is helpful. Work varies from working at ground level to working 6 feet or more in height.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent
