Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Mandatory overtime as required Occasional Saturdays based on production and shipping needs A Confidential Company in Archdale, NC is seeking an experienced Shipping Associate to support shipping operations within a manufacturing environment. This is a hands on, physically demanding position responsible for preparing finished manufactured products for accurate and timely shipment. This position requires much more than basic warehouse experience. The Shipping Associate will be responsible for pulling and staging orders, packing finished products, inspecting parts, verifying measurements and quantities, reading prints and drawings, operating shipping equipment, and ensuring products are properly prepared before leaving the facility. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast paced manufacturing environment where accuracy, productivity, attendance, and attention to detail are critical.

Primary responsibilities include:

Pull and stage finished products according to shipping requirements Pack orders safely and efficiently using boxes, skids, and pallets Use banding equipment to securely strap boxes and skids Prepare completed shipments for carrier pickup Load trucks safely and efficiently Verify quantities, part numbers, and products before shipment Inspect finished manufactured parts for visible defects or quality concerns Accurately measure parts using a tape measure to confirm required dimensions Read prints and drawings to verify product accuracy Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and finished products Assist with large or complex shipments as part of a team Maintain accurate and legible shipping and quality documentation Immediately communicate damaged products, shipping discrepancies, quality concerns, or other issues to management Maintain an organized and safe shipping area Follow established shipping procedures, safety requirements, and company policies

Requirements:

Previous shipping, warehouse, material handling, or related experience is required Manufacturing shipping experience is strongly preferred Previous forklift operating experience is required Must be able to safely operate a pallet jack and other shipping equipment Must be able to accurately read a tape measure, including fine increments Must be comfortable verifying measurements and dimensions of manufactured parts Experience reading prints, drawings, or manufacturing documentation is strongly preferred Must have experience pulling, staging, packing, and preparing orders for shipment Must understand proper palletizing, skid preparation, and shipment organization Must be comfortable inspecting finished products for defects and shipment accuracy Must have strong attention to detail and take accountability for the quality and accuracy of completed shipments Must have reliable attendance and consistently be ready to work at the required 7:00 AM start time Must be able to work mandatory overtime and occasional Saturdays when required Must be able to work effectively as part of a team Must be receptive to feedback and able to follow established processes and procedures Must be able to work around dust, loud noise, changing temperatures, and other normal manufacturing conditions

Physical Requirements:

This is a physically demanding shipping position. Candidates must be capable of meeting the physical requirements of the job. Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds periodically Ability to handle approximately 45 pounds overhead continuously as required by the position Ability to stand and move throughout the workday Ability to reach, bend, kneel, push, pull, and perform repetitive upper body movements as required

IMPORTANT

Only candidates with relevant shipping, warehouse, manufacturing, forklift, or closely related experience will be considered. This is NOT a training opportunity. No entry level candidates or applicants without relevant hands on experience will be considered. Candidates should be prepared to discuss their recent shipping experience, forklift experience, types of products handled, order verification responsibilities, tape measure proficiency, and experience preparing freight for shipment.
