Job Description

Position Summary The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, receiving materials, preparing orders, maintaining accurate inventory and shipping records, and working closely with production and office staff. This is a hands-on position in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, comfortable working on their feet, and takes pride in getting the details right. Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials and supplies
  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments of leather hides and other products
  • Verify quantities, product information, and shipping documentation for accuracy
  • Pick, pack, label, and stage orders for shipment
  • Coordinate pickups with freight carriers and common carriers
  • Load and unload materials safely using appropriate equipment
  • Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records
  • Inspect products and packaging for damage or discrepancies
  • Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe shipping/receiving area
  • Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation
  • Follow company safety procedures and shipping/handling requirements
  • Perform other warehouse and production-support duties as needed Qualifications Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience Strong attention to detail and accuracy Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory/shipping software Ability to read and understand shipping documents and labels Good communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to safely lift and move materials and finished products Forklift experience/certification is a plus Experience with freight shipments, UPS/FedEx, or other carriers is a plus Manufacturing or leather industry experience is helpful but not required Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required Ability to work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment Ability to safely handle leather hides and other materials What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Full-time, stable employment Health/Dental/Vision Insurance 401(k)

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
