Shipping and Receiving Associate Job Description We are seeking a skilled Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. This role involves working in a non-climate-controlled truck upfitting facility where you will contribute to upfitting custom 18 wheelers for specific customers. The position operates on the 1st shift, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities Perform shipping and receiving duties, ensuring accurate and timely processing. Operate forklifts to move materials and products within the facility. Conduct data entry tasks related to inventory and shipping records. Manage inventory control through cycle counting and proper documentation. Handle material loading and unloading efficiently and safely. Ensure accuracy in order selection and labeling of shipping packages. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Essential Skills Previous warehouse experience. Proficiency in forklift operation. Experience in shipping and receiving processes. Strong data entry skills for inventory management. Ability to conduct cycle counting and maintain inventory accuracy. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general labor and production work. Skills in inspection, order picking, and pallet jack operation. Familiarity with logistics and bill of lading processes. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a non-heated and non-cooled facility, with doors opening up where trucks roll onto the line, leading to variable temperatures. Despite these conditions, the facility remains clean and organized. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Statesville, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
