Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will coordinate the efficient movement of goods through accurate shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely order fulfillment and optimal inventory management. Responsibilities Prepare and process outbound shipments using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory management software Effectively uses organization systems and warehouse technology to locate and gather stock Creates shipping labels and handles shipping information Performs administrative duties such as, updating records, and record keeping, as well as exceptional internal communications. Keeps organized shipping documents, including work instructions and shipment spreadsheets Troubleshoots shipping issues and customer issues; works to solve these administrative or organizational problems to increase warehouse and dispatch efficiency Develops knowledge about freight and sea shipping regulations and practices Responsible for ordering and maintaining packaging materials, within the ERP system. Works well with Operations team to complete orders on time Other duties as assigned Conduct inventory counts, stock replenishment, and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels within warehouse distribution center Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or logistics roles within a distribution environment Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and support customer service efforts Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
