Job Description

Position Summary The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting efficient material flow throughout the organization. This role coordinates shipping and receiving activities, prepares shipping documentation, investigates inventory discrepancies, and communicates internally to ensure timely receipt and delivery of products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are representative of the position. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, supplies, and customer returns against purchase orders and shipping documentation. Maintain accurate inventory records through ERP transactions, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation activities. Stock, organize, and maintain inventory locations to support efficient material flow and inventory management. Prepare, package, label, and process domestic and international shipments using approved carriers and shipping systems. Generate and maintain shipping documentation including packing slips, bills of lading, commercial invoices, and related records. Communicate inventory shortages, backorders, receiving discrepancies, and shipment status to internal teams. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety and quality procedures. Qualificiations To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, stockroom operations, or material handling. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience using ERP/MRP systems preferred. Experience processing domestic and international shipments preferred. Experience performing cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy preferred. Skills and Abilities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to accurately manage inventory transactions and shipping documentation. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve inventory, receiving, and shipping discrepancies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently. Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands to handle materials. Frequently required to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and packages. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as required. Ability to work in a shipping and receiving environment.
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
