Distribution Office Clerk (Temp-to-Hire)
Location:
Bridgeton, NJ Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
Pay Rate:
$19/hour Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Distribution Office Clerk to support daily warehouse and shipping operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate order processing, shipment coordination, and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Provide clerical support to warehouse and distribution operations Process outbound LTL and international sales orders Quote volume shipments with carriers and determine optimal routing Maintain daily facility order tracking reports Organize and maintain shipping documentation and records Update customer shipping details in TMS systems and portals Serve as a liaison between warehouse and customer service teams Assist in resolving shipping issues with transportation providers Process Will Call orders and coordinate pickup logistics Organize truckload orders, release/queue picking tickets, and prepare paperwork Create UPS shipping labels using WorldShip Generate packing lists and ensure order accuracy Identify shipment discrepancies and help resolve issues Assist in maintaining a clean, safe work environment Support additional warehouse tasks as needed Qualifications Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Familiarity with TMS systems (preferred) Experience with scan guns (preferred) Knowledge of Bills of Lading (BOL) Experience with UPS WorldShip strongly preferred Strong basic math and problem-solving skills Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Team-oriented with a proactive, "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment What We're Looking For Reliable, hardworking professionals Individuals who take initiative and ownership
