Job Description

Currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Shipping & Inventory Associate - Sports Collectibles and join the expanding team of a small company specializing in online sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Receive, unpack, review, and process incoming shipments of sports cards, memorabilia, and other collectibles. Carefully count and verify incoming items against accompanying documentation and internal records. Maintain organized and accurate storage of collectibles, ensuring items are properly identified, protected, and readily accessible. Assist with tracking the location and status of items throughout the consignment and auction process. Pull and organize items as needed Identify and promptly report discrepancies, missing items, damage, or other concerns related to incoming material. Prepare sports cards, memorabilia, and other collectibles for outgoing shipment, with particular attention to the protection and safe handling of valuable and fragile material. Select appropriate boxes, protective materials, and packing methods based on the size, type, condition, and value of each item. Prepare shipping labels, postage, tracking information, and other required shipping documentation. Review completed outgoing shipments for accuracy and ensure the correct items and documentation are being sent to the appropriate recipient. Accurately record tracking numbers, shipping information, inventory locations, item movements, and other relevant information. Assist with regular inventory reviews and reconciliation to ensure physical items correspond with internal records. Help research and resolve inventory discrepancies or questions in coordination with Inventory and Operations Managers. Maintain appropriate organization and separation of material belonging to different consignors, customers, auctions, or other categories. Maintain an adequate inventory of shipping and packing supplies and communicate replenishment needs as necessary. Coordinate closely with coworkers across departments to ensure collectibles move efficiently and accurately through the company's intake, cataloging, auction, and shipping processes. Notify appropriate team members when incoming shipments or specific collectibles requiring their attention have been received. Maintain clean, organized, and professional shipping, receiving, and inventory areas within the office. Exercise exceptional care and attention when handling valuable, rare, fragile, or historically significant sports cards and memorabilia. Follow established procedures for the handling, documentation, organization, security, and shipment of customer property. Maintain a high degree of accuracy, organization, attention to detail, and accountability in all aspects of the position. Communicate any problems, discrepancies, or unusual circumstances promptly to the appropriate manager. Work collaboratively as part of a multi-person Shipping and Inventory team, assisting with departmental responsibilities and priorities as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. This is an office-based position and does not involve a traditional warehouse environment. An interest in or knowledge of sports, sports cards, memorabilia, or the collectibles industry is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess at least two years experience in shipping and receiving, with expertise in all major carriers (FedEx, UPS, and USPS); proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel); and an unrivaled attention to detail. The ability to lift items up to 60lbs is required as is a valid driver's license. Willingness to step in to other areas of the business, specifically basic data entry, during any down times in shipping/receiving is a must. Occasional travel to pick up/drop off items at customers/vendors may be requested.
