Job Description
Our client, a specialty distribution company, is looking for a Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Control Clerk to join their team in Greenwich Township, NJ . In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of inbound and outbound freight operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting warehouse efficiency through both hands-on material handling and precise data entry.
Key Responsibilities:
Unload incoming freight and load outgoing trucks safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks Inspect incoming shipments for damage, correct quantities, and order accuracy against packing slips Pack, stretch-wrap, label, and stage outgoing customer orders according to shipping standards Sort, transport, and store inventory in designated bin, rack, and aisle locations Conduct physical cycle counts and full inventory stock audits throughout the warehouse Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA safety standards Scan and log received inventory and outbound shipments into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) Input physical count data and report inventory discrepancies or damaged goods to managementRequirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required 1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory management Experience operating material handling equipment including forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks, and order pickers Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP software, or basic inventory data entry tools Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs unassisted Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout an 8+ hour shiftPay & Schedule:
