Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics and warehouse operations team. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for coordinating the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining efficient warehouse distribution. This role plays a vital part in ensuring timely deliveries, proper inventory management, and compliance with shipping regulations. Duties Prepare and process outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately using order picking and RF scanner technology. Load and unload freight efficiently using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts while adhering to safety protocols. Manage shipping logistics by coordinating with carriers, scheduling pickups, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery. Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts, data entry into inventory management software, and updating records in ERP systems. Ensure compliance with trade regulations and international trade laws during export and import activities. Assist in warehouse stocking activities, including organizing storage areas and replenishing inventory as needed. Support order fulfillment processes by verifying order details, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring proper packaging. Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve shipment issues promptly and provide tracking information to clients. Utilize warehouse management systems to monitor stock levels, process orders, and generate reports for management review. Follow safety procedures during all warehouse operations to prevent accidents or damage. Skills Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, freight handling, and international trade regulations. Experience with inventory management software and data entry accuracy. Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely. Basic math skills for weighing packages, calculating dimensions, and verifying quantities. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, packing, and documentation. Effective communication skills for coordinating with carriers, vendors, and team members. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures along with trade compliance standards. Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high accuracy levels. Knowledge of warehouse operations principles including order picking & packing processes.
