$31.50/hour (overtime available on Fridays and Saturdays) Job Description The Shipping / Receiving Associate coordinates daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure parts and materials move accurately and efficiently through the facility. This role prepares orders for shipment, receives incoming materials, maintains inventory organization, and follows established procedures and regulatory requirements. The position supports a high-reliability manufacturing and logistics environment where quality, accuracy, and documentation are critical. Responsibilities Prepare customer orders for shipment by carefully packing parts and applying labels according to specifications and customer packaging instructions. Schedule shipments and coordinate outbound logistics in alignment with DOT, IATA, and customer requirements. Generate accurate shipping documents and labels, ensuring all regulatory and customer documentation is complete and correct. Receive incoming materials, verify contents against documentation, and allocate parts to the correct storage locations. Distribute received parts and materials to appropriate production areas in a timely manner to support manufacturing schedules. Maintain organized storage of parts and packaging materials, ensuring items are clearly labeled and easy to locate. Perform inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed to maintain accurate stock records. Monitor packaging materials and supplies and alert purchasing when replenishment is required. Enter shipping and receiving data into internal business systems, ensuring accurate and timely data processing. Track inventory levels and supplies using internal systems to support planning and logistics activities. Adhere to DOT, IATA, and customer-specific requirements for packaging, labeling, and shipment preparation. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse operations. Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes, including packing, labeling, and preparing shipments. Ability to schedule shipments and coordinate with carriers while meeting customer and regulatory requirements. Experience receiving incoming materials and distributing parts to production or storage locations. Ability to follow DOT and IATA requirements, as well as customer-specific packaging and shipping instructions. Proficiency in entering and maintaining data in internal business systems for shipping, receiving, and inventory tracking. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wharton, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
