Job Description

Seeking a motivated individual with shipping and receiving experience to join our fabrication team building custom filtration equipment, from the ground up, for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for crating large equipment for shipping, loading and unloading pallets from skids using a forklift. In addition, you will be receiving and logging parts as well as assisting with light assembly and maintenance. It is essential you can work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
1. Package parts for outbound shipment including assembling boxes, building pallets, and building customer boxes 2. Visually Inspecting Parts when receiving shipments 3. Support Production Staff with light assembly 4. Perform cleaning operations on factory refurbished parts 5. Support cycle counting program with location / part counts 6. Maintain clean and safe work area by following procedures and complying with written and verbal instructions 7. Support other areas within factory as needed 8. Communicate production status to management 9. Operate a forklift 10 Maintain regular, punctual attendance, consistent with company policies 11. Supporting other areas within factory as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work in a fast paced environment with repetitive motion, clutch, lift, grab, bend, stoop, push and pull with no difficulties, be on feet during work shift, and clearly communicate issues
Essential Qualifications:
Experience working in a manufacturing organization Fork Truck experience loading and unloading pallets from skids Familiarity with tools required for crate and skid building (Chop Saw, Panel Saw, Screw Gun) Ability to read and understand Shipping Paperwork Ability to work in team environment, and ask questions if needed Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks and responsibilities Ability to use a tape measure Mechanical skills Willingness to work overtime as required Ability to climb and work on elevated lifts Ability to identify and clearly communicate issues as they arise Ability to work inside and outside as required throughout entire year
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience with rigging
