Randstad is currently seeking an experienced Electronics Test Technician for an established Long Island electronics manufacturer. We are looking for someone with an electronics background who is comfortable working from schematics, utilizing electronic test equipment, and troubleshooting down to the component level.

Responsibilities Test electronic assemblies, components, and completed units Troubleshoot electronic equipment and identify component-level failures Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and test procedures Use oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and other electronic test equipment Perform functional, electrical, and performance testing Diagnose failures and determine root causes Perform adjustments, modifications, and minor repairs as needed Document test results, failures, and corrective actions Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams Follow established testing, quality, ESD, and safety procedures Qualifications Previous electronics testing and troubleshooting experience required Ability to read and understand electronic schematics Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and electronic test equipment Component-level troubleshooting experience preferred Electronics manufacturing experience preferred Aerospace/defense electronics experience is a plus Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Interested? High SchoolResponsibilities Perform high-voltage and low-voltage testing, with a primary focus on high-voltage electronic and electrical systemsSet up and operate test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, Hi-Pot testers, and signal generatorsTest electronic components, circuit boards, power supplies, assemblies, and finished unitsPerform functional, continuity, resistance, current, voltage, and performance testingTroubleshoot electronic assemblies to the component levelDiagnose failures involving circuit boards, wiring, connectors, relays, transformers, and power componentsRead and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and test proceduresPerform Hi-Pot and dielectric withstand testing as requiredIdentify defective components and assist with repair, soldering, wiring, and reworkRetest repaired units to verify proper operationDocument test results, failures, and corrective actionsFollow ESD, electrical safety, quality, and manufacturing proceduresWork with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues Skills High Voltage Testing (3 years of experience is required)Component-Level Testing (2 years of experience is required)Multimeters (3 years of experience is required)Oscilliscopes (2 years of experience is required)Schematics (2 years of experience is required)PCB TestingPower SupplyBlueprint Reading (2 years of experience is required) Qualifications Years of experience: 2 yearsExperience level: Experienced Randstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
