Job Description

Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. In this role, you are responsible for assisting in receiving incoming materials, verifying shipments, maintaining inventory records, preparing outbound orders, and coordinating freight shipments in support of foundry operations. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming materials and verify against purchase orders. Verify quantities against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents. Prepare finished castings and related products for shipment. Generate shipping labels, packing lists, and other required documentation. Schedule pickups and deliveries with freight carriers. Load and unload trucks using forklifts. Organize warehouse and storage areas to ensure efficient material flow. Collaborate with other departments to ensure shipment priorities and timely deliveries. Maintain shipping and receiving logs and records. Assist with general warehouse and material handling duties as needed. Maintain inventory levels and restock supplies and materials for various departments as needed.
Qualifications Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred. Manufacturing or foundry experience a plus. Experience driving a forklift a plus or the ability to obtain a forklift certification. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Epicor or ERP/Inventory management system. Experience using carrier shipping systems such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, or similar freight/shipping platforms preferred. Ability to read shipping documents and packing slips. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
