The Warehouse Receiving Clerk plays a crucial role in the efficient and accurate receipt of all inbound goods. This position is responsible for scheduling inbound deliveries, communicating with the purchasing department and warehouse management regarding delivery issues, and resolving discrepancies. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills. Bilingualism in Spanish is a significant plus.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule inbound deliveries with carriers, ensuring timely and efficient arrival. Communicate effectively with the purchasing department regarding expected delivery dates, potential delays, and any other relevant information. Collaborate with warehouse management to coordinate receiving activities and ensure smooth workflow. Track and monitor inbound deliveries using a designated tracking system (e.g., spreadsheet). Direct traffic flow by tracking which doors are open and closed, utilizing the provided door tracker spreadsheet. Print receiving labels for put-away, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Collect lumper fees from carriers as required. Identify and communicate discrepancies in Purchase Orders (POs), including quantity mismatches and damage. Receive and process quantity adjustments from receivers on the floor. Maintain accurate records of all receiving activities. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, sorting, and filtering. Strong computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) a plus. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Bilingualism in Spanish is a significant plus. Experience with warehouse machinery (electric pallet jack, forklift, etc.) a significant plus.Benefits:
