TEMP Shipper/Receiver Ducommun, Inc. United States, York, Coxsackie 171 Stacy Road (Show on map) Jul 29, 2026 TEMP Shipper/Receiver The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for activities related
to the shipment of goods to customers and suppliers as well as the receiving
and disbursement of purchased items from suppliers. This position is TEMPORARY and may last from 3-10 months as business needs. Who are we? Starting as a hardware supply store during the California Gold Rush and eventually assisted in the birth of the aerospace industry in Southern California by providing aircraft aluminum to early aerospace pioneers like Lindbergh, Douglas and Lockheed. Today Ducommun is a global provider of innovative manufacturing solutions for customers in the aerospace, defense and industrial markets. We specialize in electronic and structural systems, producing complex products and components for commercial aircraft platforms, mission-critical military and space programs, and sophisticated industrial applications. Our Facility in Coxsackie, NY manufactures large, complex contoured structural components and assemblies for aerospace and other applications. Our integrated processes include stretch-forming, thermal-forming, chemical processing, precision fabrication, machining, finishing processes, and integration of components into subassemblies. Duties & Responsibilities Receives parts from external sources requiring receipt into the ERP system.
Reports instances of damaged goods to appropriate authority.
Processes receipt of purchased goods into ERP system.
Disburses received goods to appropriate personnel as directed by procedure, Team Leader or Work Center Manager.
Receives parts for shipment from manufacturing or withdraw from finished goods or kit inventory as required.
Checks to ensure that parts may be processed for shipment as required by customer.
Prepares parts for shipping including part marking as required. Checks to ensure part mark legibility, accuracy, and conformance to customer standard.
Packages parts to ship in accordance with applicable industry and customer standards.
Prepares applicable shipping carton labels using appropriate system for the assigned carrier.
Checks to ensure that parts may be processed for shipment as required by Supply Chain Department in the case of product being sent for outside processing.
Participates in monthly inventory counts and 6S activities.
