Job Description
Performs shipping and receiving activities to support daily logistics operations within established procedures. Handles standard material movements, verifies incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintains accurate records of inventory transactions. Works with moderate supervision and resolves routine issues related to shipment accuracy, documentation, and material handling by applying known procedures. Monitors quality and accuracy of work, escalates issues outside of standard processes, and supports efficient flow of materials to meet operational needs.
JOB DUTIES
Executes shipping and receiving tasks according to established procedures and work instructions. Verifies quantities, part numbers, and shipment documents for incoming and outgoing materials. Prepares materials for shipment, including labeling, packaging, and updating required records. Receives, inspects, and routes materials to the appropriate location or department. Updates inventory or shipping system records to maintain accurate transaction data. Identifies routine shipment or documentation issues and resolves them using standard procedures. Communicates with internal team members to coordinate daily material flow and delivery timing. Escalates damaged, missing, or non-routine shipment issues to the appropriate contact for resolution.YOU MUST HAVE
- 1-3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, or logistics operations.
- Experience following standard operating procedures in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to verify shipment details, complete routine documentation, and maintain accurate records.
- Experience using basic computer systems or inventory/shipping software to enter and review data.
- Ability to work with moderate supervision and complete routine tasks independently.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs
WE VALUE
- Experience handling incoming and outgoing materials in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
- Experience with inventory transactions, cycle counts, or material movement processes.
- Familiarity with shipping methods, packing requirements, and common freight documentation.
- Experience supporting team members during busy periods or shift changes.
