Shipping Associate Nesco Resource is hiring a Shipping Associate in Horseheads, NY. You'll prepare customer orders for shipment, check that products and quantities are correct, and keep shipping and inventory records accurate. On-the-job training is provided.

Temporary with the opportunity to transition to full-time employment What you'll do Count, package, weigh, and label products according to order requirements. Verify part numbers, quantities, and packaging instructions before shipment. Prepare labels, packing slips, and other shipping documents. Enter finished goods and shipping information into computer systems. Report shortages or discrepancies and assist with inventory counts. Keep the shipping area organized and follow safety procedures. What we're looking for High school diploma or GED. Accurate counting, basic math, and computer skills. Ability to follow packaging and shipping instructions. Shipping, warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required. Experience with ERP systems, UPS, FedEx, LTL freight, or forklifts is a plus. Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
