Shipping Receiving & Stockroom Clerk Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities:
- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
- Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, Sales and Service depts.in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
- Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
- Provides additional backup support for shipping, receiving and stockroom departments.
- Receive and store incoming products in a timely manner.
- Follow established procedures to label, track, and stock items properly.
- Performing warehouse inventory controls and keeping quality standards high for audits
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
- Report any discrepancies.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
Shipping Receiving & Stockroom Qualifications/Skills:
- Sorting incoming and outgoing stock
- Receiving, stocking, and stacking
- Pulling, packing, and loading
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Able to work independently and within a team.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Computer skills (Word, Excel etc…)
- Needs excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Physical endurance to perform a full shift with potential heavy lifting.
- Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date
- Hazmat Certification within 90 days of job entry date.
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving, Stock Clerk to join our dynamic warehouse team. Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments by inspecting, verifying, and documenting delivery details using inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS). Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products accurately according to shipping logistics standards. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load and unload trucks, move stock within the warehouse, and organize storage areas efficiently. Maintain precise inventory records through data entry into ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as AS400 or similar platforms. Conduct regular stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and update inventory management software to ensure data accuracy. Support order fulfillment processes by picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment while adhering to trade compliance and international trade regulations. Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate shipping schedules, track shipments, and resolve any issues related to order picking or packaging. Ensure all warehouse safety protocols are followed during load & unload activities and when operating equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment that promotes efficiency and safety for all team members. Skills Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms, and inventory management software. Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, order fulfillment procedures, and international trade regulations. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred). Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping. Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities essential for stocking and packing tasks. Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel for reporting and documentation purposes. Outstanding customer service mindset to support internal teams and external carriers effectively. Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy in warehouse operations.
