Scanner / Wrapper - Manufacturing Akron, OH 1st Shift Starting at $16.00 per hour Full-Time | Hourly Apply with Express Employment Professionals - Akron Express Employment Professionals in Akron is seeking a detail‑oriented Scanner / Wrapper to support production and warehouse operations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate inventory tracking, quality control, and on‑time shipments. Job Summary The Scanner / Wrapper is responsible for scanning, labeling, wrapping, and staging finished goods and materials. You'll verify product accuracy, maintain inventory records, and ensure products are packaged securely and according to company and customer standards. Key Responsibilities Accurately scan finished goods and materials using RF scanners or computer systems Verify product details, quantities, and labels against work orders and shipping documents Wrap, band, and secure products for storage or shipment Print and apply labels to ensure proper identification and product traceability Inspect products for damage or quality concerns prior to staging Stage completed pallets or materials in designated shipping or storage areas Maintain accurate inventory transactions within the system Communicate discrepancies or issues to supervisors Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe following 5S standards Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements Supplier & Inventory Support Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips Report damaged or incorrect supplier shipments Assist with organizing and staging supplier materials for production use Maintain accurate inventory and receiving documentation Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience preferred Basic computer skills and familiarity with RF scanners a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to read work orders, labels, and shipping documents Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Forklift or material‑handling experience is a plus Work Environment & Physical Requirements High‑paced manufacturing environment Exposure to noise, machinery, and temperature changes Standing for extended periods required Occasional weekend hours may be required Reasonable accommodations available for qualified individuals Why Work with Express Akron?
