Internal & External Posting Job Summary We are seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to support our fast-paced custom automation manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of materials, parts, and finished equipment throughout our facility. The Shipping & Receiving Associate plays a vital role in supporting our mission by receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and assisting with customer deliveries and vendor pickups. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and takes pride in maintaining an organized warehouse while providing excellent internal and external customer service. Responsibilities
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and conditions against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage and report discrepancies to the appropriate Coordinator or Manager.
  • Accurately prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, labeling, and securing products for shipment.
  • Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and company vehicles safely and in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through company inventory management systems and documentation.
  • Deliver materials to designated departments to support production schedules.
  • Ensure shipments meet customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct routine inventory counts and quarterly to annual physical inventory.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse, shipping, and receiving areas to promote efficiency and workplace safety.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Assist with packaging large automation equipment and machinery for domestic and international shipments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Communicate effectively with Purchasing, Project Management, Production, and Accounting regarding shipment status and inventory needs. Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience is required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Experience operating company vehicles such as pickup trucks or box trucks is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management software; experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Ability to accurately read shipping documents, packing slips, and purchase orders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally. Preferred Skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing or custom automation environment.
  • Knowledge of shipping carriers, freight scheduling, and shipping documentation.
  • Familiarity with inventory control practices.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions when loading and unloading shipments.

Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
