M-F 1:45pm- 10pmPay Rate:
$21.50 plus 10% shift differential! This position is eligible for a $2,100.00 Sign-On bonus! $700.00 after 90 days $700.00 after 6 months $700.00 after 1 year of employmentJob Summary:
As a Shipping Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently and safely handling the shipping operations within our facility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are correctly packaged, labeled, and loaded for shipment according to company standards and industry regulations. Your attention to detail and ability to operate shipping equipment will contribute directly to our overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:
Shipping Operations:
- Execute shipping activities including receiving, picking, packing, and loading/unloading of shipments to meet all quality standards.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all outgoing shipments meet quality standards, including accurate labeling, documentation, and packaging.
Equipment Operation:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other shipping equipment safely and efficiently.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and locations. Be proficient using the RF scanner and moving inventory around in the scanner programs
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaboration:
- Coordinate with warehouse team members, supervisors, and logistics personnel to prioritize tasks and meet shipping deadlines.
Problem Solving:
- Identify and resolve any issues related to shipping and inventory discrepancies.
Continuous Improvement:
- Suggest process and safety improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce shipping errors.
Customer Service:
- Support customer service efforts by ensuring accurate and timely shipments to customers.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or a related field is a plus. Proven experience as a Shipping Operator or similar role in a warehouse or distribution center environment. Proficiency in operating warehouse machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks Strong attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork and inventory management. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding role. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to warehouse operations.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, and lift along with mount and proper dismount from the forklift throughout the shift.Working Conditions:
