Oregon's climate and soil give our berries a sweeter flavor than other berry-growing regions. We are looking for a Shipping/Receiving Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for outbound shipments of fresh blueberries: loading pallets onto trucks, coordination of proper loading and securing and completing all outbound paperwork and uploading into our ERP system. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Working hours are long during peak summer harvest season (July-September) and include weekends. This position is a seasonal, hourly position for approx 8-9 months with the possibility of extension to a 12-month position.

Desired skills/attributes:

Experience and knowledge of the produce industry or agriculture (2-3 years preferred) Must be able to safely and efficiently operate a forklift (or be able to train within 10 days) Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is desired, but not required

Responsibilities:

Apply pallet tags to every outgoing pallet Ensure PTI labels are on all outbound boxes (as needed) Conduct label/pack size/order confirmation checklist Conduct lot identification checks and ensure lots are allocated correctly in packout and on boxes, drums, pails, etc. Produce BOL & ensure driver signs off Compile and submit shipping documents, including: signed BOL, pallet tags duplicates, outbound checklist Complete warehouse transfer orders as needed Accurately fill out receiving paperwork for both fresh and frozen bulk fruit. Inspect all trailers and integrity of product (both produce and supplies) for cleanliness and/or damage prior to receiving product. Document and follow up on damage, shortages, or any quality issues upon offloading; accept or reject the load, ensure written documentation is noted. Ensure trailers are damage-free and report any damages seen. Forward all receiving paperwork to the correct location, ensure no paperwork is lost Enter receipt of bulk fruit into scale system or record on truck paperwork and ensure pallet weights are properly weighed and recorded. Conduct frequent tare checks on scales. Pull samples from incoming bulk fruit per instruction and properly label and stage in correct location. Ensure cold chain integrity and monitor temperatures as much as possible. Record temperature of trailer at time of unloading. Label all pallets correctly with provided pallet tags. Ensure that pallet tags are properly secured on pallet stacks to prevent loss. Store received product in proper locations per instruction
