Job Description

Reports To:
Production Manager Job Summary The Shipping Specialist prepares customer orders for shipment, ensures shipping accuracy and food safety compliance, and supports timely loading and delivery. This position also assists with inventory and production activities as needed during periods of lower shipping volume. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare orders for shipment by manifesting, scanning, labeling, palletizing, wrapping, and staging products. Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, load tags, and labels. Verify shipment accuracy, including product, address, carrier, and shipping service level. Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other approved equipment. Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and internal departments to support accurate and on-time shipments. Follow company standards, food safety requirements, and established safety procedures. Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready shipping and staging areas. Report damaged product, discrepancies, or shipping exceptions promptly to the supervisor or manager. Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed. During periods of low shipping volume, support TFC production activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient in spoken and written English. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to follow safe work practices and established procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Ability to work additional hours during November and December to support seasonal business needs. Preferred Qualifications Previous shipping, warehouse, production, or inventory experience. Forklift certification. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in spoken and written Spanish, in addition to English.
Pay:
$19.50 - $20.50 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
