Job Description

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Shipping Specialist for a long-term role with a plastics manufacturing company located in Tigard, OR. The person in this position coordinate shipping, packaging and received components, supplies and materials according to company/customer specifications.
Pay:
$22/hr
Shipping Specialist Responsibilities:
Process all outbound shipments in accordance with company/customer requirements using MRP system Operate MRP System, verifying all information as the order is processed, input the correct information as required. Perform shipping and packaging responsibilities for outbound/inbound freight - packaging products, documentation preparation, contacting carriers, international shipments, etc. Maintain records as required according to industry standards and company practices Perform driving responsibilities to deliver or pick-up merchandise according to company requirements. Cross-train in all essential requirements of the Inventory/Receiving Group Assist the Inventory/Receiving Group throughout designated shift whenever primary Shipping duties are completed
Shipping Specialist Qualifications:
1+ year of shipping experience in a manufacturing environment Valid Driver's license and able to meet company requirements for company drivers' insurance Demonstrate proficiency accurately operating a computer MRP System Knowledge and proficiency with shipping and packaging processes and requirements The ability to cross-train in other departments as required by management. Must be able to read and understand shipment schedules. Interface professionally with Accounting, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc. to perform internal services as required. Must be able to pass a Company sponsored training program for Forklift Certification within 90 days of employment Ability to lift and carry 35 lbs.
