Operations Manager Position Summary The Shipping Associate I is responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing customer orders for shipment. This role involves picking, packing, labeling, and verifying products for outbound delivery while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established processes and safety procedures. Essential Functions Pick and pack products according to order specifications. Prepare shipments using appropriate packing materials and shipping labels. Verify items against packing slips or invoices to ensure order accuracy. Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, or hand trucks as needed. Maintain accurate shipping records in the inventory or warehouse management system. Assist in loading packages onto trucks or arranging them for carrier pickup. Perform routine checks for damaged or missing items and report discrepancies. Comply with all safety policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized shipping area. Collaborate with warehouse, inventory, and receiving teams as needed. Required Qualifications 0-1 years of warehouse or shipping experience preferred. 0-1 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations. Basic knowledge of shipping procedures and documentation (UPS, FedEx, etc.). Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Basic computer skills or experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience handling hazardous materials or export documentation. Understanding of shipping compliance and documentation accuracy. Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement practices is a plus. Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and warehouse conditions. May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Occasional overtime or weekend shifts may be required. Work Environment This job operates in a light manufacturing environment setting and uses electric screw drivers, riveting tools, and soldering irons. Language and Communication Skills Ability to read and interpret internal communications, packing slips, and common documents. Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures. Ability to respond to inquiries or issues from vendors, or members of the business. Ability to talk with others to convey information effectively. Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others. Shift hours:
11:00 AM - 7:30 PM Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
