Description

Position Summary The Shipping & Receiving Associate position verifies and maintains records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Receives, stores, and prepares items for shipment; addresses, and ships material. Receives, unpacks, inspects, verifies and records incoming material; and arranges for the transportation of products by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. Shipping Material Examine and inspect customer orders to ensure accuracy with packing slip.

Pack, seal, label to prepare materials for shipping.

Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates as required for materials to be shipped.

Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.

Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Receiving Material Examine and inspect shipment contents and compare with records, such as invoices or purchase orders to verify accuracy.

Correspond with c3controls' Supply Chain Team to rectify issues, such as damages and shortages.

Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies.

Stock shelves with new material. Inventory Maintenance & Control Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in the warehouse.

Store material in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, supply rooms and other areas.

Examine and inspect inventory items for defects, reporting any damage to the supervisor.

Verify inventory calculations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors using manufacturing software.

Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Required Qualifications

Entry Level, high school students

Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, email

Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language (oral and written) including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Reliable Transportation

Language and Communication Skills

Ability to read and interpret internal communications, packing slips, and common documents.

Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures.

Ability to respond to inquiries or issues from vendors, or members of the business.

Ability to talk with others to convey information effectively.

Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to quickly move hand, hand together with arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or package objects.

Ability to consistently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Ability to see close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, kneeling, lifting, balancing, walking, stopping, and handling of materials throughout a shift.

Position Type, Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, 11:00am-7:30pm, Monday through Friday.
