Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in Bucks County on a Contract basis. This position supports daily shipping, receiving, and inventory activities by ensuring materials move accurately and efficiently throughout the operation. The ideal candidate is comfortable following established procedures, handling documentation carefully, and escalating discrepancies when needed. This role is well suited for someone who values accuracy, teamwork, and dependable execution in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare items for outbound transportation by packing, labeling, bundling, and arranging materials according to shipment requirements.
- Receive incoming materials against supporting documentation and verify that deliveries match expected quantities and condition.
- Review inbound goods for visible damage or discrepancies and take appropriate action when a shipment should not be accepted.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts for finished products and subassemblies by recording transactions in the designated inventory system.
- Support material control activities by issuing kits to production and processing returned components as needed.
- Generate and review daily backlog information from the company system to help prioritize shipping and inventory tasks.
- Coordinate with delivery drivers to organize pickups, drop-offs, and daily transportation schedules.
- Follow established operational procedures and promptly report exceptions, concerns, or deviations to the appropriate supervisor or department.
- Experience working in shipping, receiving, warehouse support, or inventory control environments.
- Ability to track stock movements and maintain accurate inventory records with a high level of attention to detail.
- Familiarity with physical inventory counting, cycle counts, or annual inventory processes.
- Comfortable using inventory or warehouse systems to document receipts, issues, returns, and shipment activity.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and communicate issues clearly to the appropriate team members.
- Experience preparing materials for shipment, including packing, labeling, and verifying paperwork.
- Capable of working effectively in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
