Shipping and Receiving Clerk Job Description As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the shipping, receiving, and unloading of trucks. Your responsibilities will include checking in merchandise, preparing orders by processing requests, and supply orders. You will be tasked with pulling materials, packing boxes, and placing orders in the designated delivery areas. Additionally, you will sort and place materials on shelves or in bins according to organizational standards and may assist with physical cycle counting. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat is essential. Responsibilities Assist with shipping, receiving, and unloading trucks. Check in merchandise and prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders. Pull materials, pack boxes, and place orders in the delivery area. Sort and place materials on shelves or in bins according to organizational standards. Assist in physical cycle counting as needed. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat. Essential Skills Strong attention to detail. Strong attendance record. Ability to stand all day. Able to work at a fast pace. Strong computer skills. Valid Driver's License. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1-2 years of experience working in inventory or warehouse. Work Environment The work environment is very clean, deadline-driven, and production-oriented. Safety is extremely important. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntingdon Valley, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
