Plans and coordinates daily shipping and receiving of raw materials, supplies and products in accordance with company guidelines, giving careful consideration to using the most reliable, economical and efficient method. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supervises the daily incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
- Ensures packaging and routing is in accordance to customer specifications, and determines legal load limits of trucks.
- Supervises movement, storage and inventory of in-process materials and finished goods through plant area.
- Coordinates the release of rolls for shipment with the Sales Department, Production Planning, and Quality Assurance.
- Processes shipping and receiving transactions in business system.
- Prepares documents for scheduling transportation of domestic and international shipments.
- Oversees carpenter shop activities and inventory of materials, supplies, components, and tools.
- Works closely with carriers and other departments to ensure timely revenue recognition. Management/Supervisory Responsibilities

- High school diploma or equivalent (GED); post-secondary education preferred
- 3-5 years logistics or production/manufacturing experience Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (all knowledge, skills and abilities are required unless noted as "preferred")
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize projects
- Ability to function in a team environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance
