Description Fulfillment technicians are responsible for accurately packaging, labeling, and preparing compounded medications for shipment while following SOPs, USP guidelines, and safety standards. Working under a pharmacist's supervision, they verify orders, maintain inventory, document tasks, and ensure shipments meet quality and regulatory requirements. Attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA are essential.

JOB DUTIES 1.

Following applicable compounding organization Standard Operating Procedures and Policies. 2. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment and pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules and regulations, following protocols and testing and documentation. 3. Perform administrative tasks (e.g., record-keeping) as assigned. 4. Comply with all security measures and quality standards. 5. Document completed tasks using online task manager and paper logs. 6. Data enter prescriptions when applicable. 7. Count capsules accurately for prescription order. 8. Fill bottles using a repeater pump or assigned equipment accurately. 9. Perform quality control check of final CNSP prior to labeling. (leak check) 10. Verify labels to orders prior to pharmacist's final check. 11. Attach appropriate auxiliary labels when applicable. 12. Verify order to final label and leaflet or brochure to be included. 13. Examine contents of the basket or container to compare contents with records to verify accuracy of outgoing shipment. 14. Prepare documents, such as work orders and shipping orders to route materials. 15. Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. 16. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes. 17. Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems. 18. Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. 19. Compute amounts, such as space available, and shipping, storage, and demurrage charges. 20. Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter. 21. Perform cleaning tasks and decontamination when appropriate. 22. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 1.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. 2. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. 3. Position requires hand dexterity, attention to detail, performing tasks that require fine motor skills, precision and hand eye coordination. 4. Ability to lift up to thirty pounds. 5. Must be comfortable working with hormone or other potentially hazardous chemicals used in non-sterile compounding. (employees are provided with appropriate PPE and engineering controls)

FULFILLMENT TECHNICIAN 1.

High School Graduate or GED 2. Outstanding organizational skills 3. Reliable with a keen eye for detail

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1.

Proven experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience 2. Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement 3. Certified Pharmacy Technician from recognized accrediting body 4. Completion of a pharmacy technician program 5. PK Compounder experience
