Job Description

In this role you will be: Receive and inspect all incoming shipments for quantity, quality, and accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders. Check for damaged, expired, or incorrect items and report discrepancies to the appropriate personnel. Unload deliveries safely using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks. Accurately record all received goods in the hospital's materials management or ERP system (e.g., Lawson, PeopleSoft, SAP). Label packages with appropriate barcodes, dates, or department designations. Maintain organized records of receipts, discrepancies, and returned goods. Route deliveries to the correct departments or storage areas promptly. Coordinate with inventory clerks, couriers, or department staff for delivery schedules and urgent needs. Communicate with vendors and purchasing staff regarding delivery schedules and issues. Assist in storing received items in designated stock areas, refrigerators, or freezers, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO). Ensure receiving areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety and infection control policies. Follow hospital protocols related to handling hazardous materials, sterile supplies, and regulated products. Comply with all OSHA, Joint Commission, and HIPAA regulations relevant to materials handling. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required

1 year of receiving, warehouse, or shipping/receiving experience preferred
