We are seeking a dedicated Material Handling professional to join our team. The successful candidate will visually inspect, assemble, and package products to customer specifications, and load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site.Key Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility will be to pull orders for assembly technicians and put parts in correct locations.
- This is a B shift position working 10pm-8am Mon-Wed and 8pm-6am on Thurs. Must be able to work OT as needed. Eligible for night shift premium of 5%.
- Ability to participate and contribute in a team environment.
- Work with little or no supervision.
- Must follow all company policies and procedures.
- Good safety & attendance record.
- Must be willing to learn multiple shipping and receiving processes.
- Continuous heavy lifting involved.
- Computer and keyboard proficiency to work within a Windows environment, SAP (bus), Excel and Word.
- Capable of basic math skills plus knowledge of decimals.
- Must be very conscientious to maintain inventory accuracy and customer service measures.
- Must obtain certification to operate a fork truck.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED highly desired.
- 6 months experience in an industrial manufacturing environment highly desired.
Physical Requirements:
- Routinely lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Close vision and depth perception.
- Routinely reach with hands and arms and use hands to fingers.
- Frequently required to stand and walk.
- Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Essential Job Functions:
- Observe and follow all safety rules, plans, policies, and procedures.
- Work efficiently and achieve established production standards.
- Operate hoists and material handling equipment.
- Attach identifying tags or labels to materials.
- Operate lift trucks to load and unload material shipments.
- Pickup and deliver materials to and from storage and work areas.
- Via computer entry, maintain counts, weights, and material receipt and movement records.
