BASIC FUNCTION

An Order Puller is dedicated to distribution and operations by pulling orders placed by contractors that are to be delivered directly to the customers job site. Orders are pulled from material in the yard and warehouses and prepared (staged) to be loaded onto the delivery.

OVERVIEW

The Order Puller position pulls/fills the orders provided by the shipping manager. Typically, there are more than one items to be pulled on each ticket which require the items to be pulled, combined, banded together. Once the fulfillment process is complete the order(s) are taken to the staging area where they are loaded onto a delivery truck as the trucks become available. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES

: Ability to do basic math, read instructions and complete forms. Communicate with other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills. Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques. Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in a written, oral, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand, walk and sit. Strength (lift, carry, push and pull): Maximum lift, 100 lbs.; Frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, with manual dexterity and see (acuity, depth perception, field of vision, accommodation). Reach over head to grasp materials.

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

: Work outside in temperatures ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold. Work with mechanical equipment on daily basis.
