Purpose:
Responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming materials, maintaining accurate inventory and material traceability, and preparing materials for production. This position supports efficient production by ensuring the correct materials are received, documented, inspected, and available when needed. Primary Duties /
Responsibilities:
Receive and process incoming shipments and verify materials against receiving documentation. Inspect carbide and other materials for conformance to specifications. Measure materials using calipers, micrometers, and other applicable measuring tools. Identify and communicate damaged, incorrect, or nonconforming materials. Prepare and layout materials for production orders. Maintain accurate raw material inventory, lot traceability, and material records. Perform routine inventory counts and assist with resolving discrepancies. Maintain customer-owned or supplied material inventory. Process shipment returns as needed. Accurately enter receiving and inventory information into the ERP system. Maintain an organized and safe receiving/material storage area. Follow company quality, safety, and material-handling procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required /
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy. Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and basic measuring equipment. Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office experience preferred. Manufacturing, receiving, inventory, or inspection experience preferred. ERP experience, including Infor VISUAL, is a plus. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across departments. Demonstrated reliability, sound judgment, and integrity. Exhibits integrity in all matters.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and handle materials (+25 pounds at a time), throughout the workday and perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
