We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Shop/Shipping Assistant to join our team in North Charleston, SC. This full-time position supports manufacturing and shipping operations through part preparation, packaging, organization, engraving assistance, and general shop maintenance. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Polish and de-burr manufactured parts Sort and organize parts for internal workflows Prepare parts for outside services and shipments Package parts securely for delivery Perform shipping tasks and maintain shipping documentation Assist with engraving and laser marking as needed Support other departments when requested Maintain shop cleanliness, including: Sweeping Mopping Vacuuming Trash removal Follow quality and safety standards at all times Additional responsibilities may be assigned to support operational needs. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience Manufacturing or shop experience preferred 1 year of assembly experience preferred 1 year of packaging experience preferred 1 year of forklift experience preferred Skills & Attributes Mechanically inclined Reliable, dependable, and adaptable Strong organizational and basic math skills Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated and receptive to direction Team-oriented with strong communication skills Comfortable performing repetitive, detail-focused work Strong commitment to quality and safety Customer-focused mindset Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to regularly lift 35+ pounds English language proficiency preferred Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience.
