Job Description

Responsibilities Constant heavy lifting required (up to 40 lbs.) Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records Assemble wooden or cardboard containers Prepares skid shipments for transit Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers Verifies shipments meet customers specifications Maintains packaging materials inventory and organization, as needed Stocks and pulls outsourcing materials, as needed Weights, counts, and packs finished parts/compounds Labels, inventories, organizes, and moves materials, as needed Assists in all aspects of shipping Cycle Counting Operates forklift daily Performs as a floater throughout the facility, as needed Maintain good housekeeping Other duties, as assigned Qualifications Prefer shipping experience Prefer forklift certification OR must be forklift certified within first 90 days of start date Good computer skills Knowledge of transportation functions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must be detail-oriented and have ability to multi-task Must be able to perform heavy lifting constantly and stand for long periods of time Capable of performing basic math functions Must have legible handwriting and good comprehension skills Must be able to work flexible hours Must have a history of good customer service and communication skills Equal Employment Opportunity Parker is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
