About the job Couch Potatoes builds furniture in North Austin, right off I-35. Cutting, sewing, and upholstery all happen under one roof, and we sell through our own stores and to dealers around the country. We need someone to keep the factory's materials organized. Freight comes in, gets checked, gets put where it belongs, and gets recorded so anyone can find it later. This is a physical job. You'll be on your feet most of the day moving frames, cushions, foam and fabric rolls. Some days are heavy from start to finish, and others are much lighter. No two days are the same, and you're done by mid-afternoon. What you'll do Unload and load trucks: raw materials coming in, finished furniture going out Check incoming shipments against what was ordered, and flag shortages or damage before the driver leaves Put stock away on the right rack, labeled and recorded the same day Count inventory, and track down the difference when the rack and the system don't match Keep racks labeled, aisles clear, and parts where the next person can find them Pull, pack and mail fabric swatches to customers, same day when possible What we need from you Able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently, and team-lift heavier pieces (required) On time, every day. On a team this size, one person out is felt right away (required) Careful with counts. A number that's off by two can stop a job or have us buying material we already had You speak up when a count is off or something arrives damaged Nice to have: warehouse, receiving or inventory experience; forklift or pallet jack; any inventory software. We'd rather hire someone sharp and reliable and teach the rest.

Pay:

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
