Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities Manage inbound and outbound shipments by verifying documentation, inspecting packages, and ensuring proper handling. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers to load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory management software to track stock levels, update records, and facilitate order processing. Prepare packages for shipment by packing goods securely, labeling accurately, and complying with trade regulations and international trade requirements. Conduct inventory counts using data entry skills and inventory management tools to maintain accurate stock levels. Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule pickups, deliveries, and ensure timely dispatch of goods. Assist with order fulfillment processes including picking & packing, order picking, and loading shipments for distribution. Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment following safety protocols while adhering to shipping & receiving procedures. Support customer service efforts by providing shipment status updates and resolving logistical issues promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics roles with familiarity in shipping & receiving processes. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems like AS400 or MRPs. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment safely; forklift certification is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data entry, reporting, and communication purposes. Basic math skills for counting inventory, measuring packages, and calculating weights or dimensions. Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail for accurate record keeping and order processing. Knowledge of trade compliance standards and international trade regulations is advantageous. Effective communication skills combined with a customer service mindset to support team collaboration and client satisfaction.
