Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and reliable Shipping, Receiving & Material Handler to support our manufacturing and welding operations. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving incoming materials, maintaining accurate inventory counts, and ensuring the welding and fabrication floor stays fully stocked with hardware, carts, and supplies throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities Daily Floor Support & Material Handling:

Production Support:

Check the welding board for daily priorities, updates, and staging needs.

Spot Weld Department:

Regularly communicate with the Spot Weld team to anticipate material needs. Restock hardware across all three cells. Wash hardware for Spot Weld 1 and keep all hardware bins organized and full.

Cell Staging:

Keep all welding cells supplied with carts and update production boards in real-time throughout the day.

Supply Maintenance:

Monitor and replace paint barrels when empty.

Weekly Receiving & Inventory Tasks:

Mondays:

Receive incoming pull trucks, unload materials, and verify shipments. Sort, organize, and stage hardware received from the truck to the designated shop floor locations.

Wednesdays:

Conduct weekly material and raw inventory cycle counts. Complete counts for industrial gas supplies ( Argon and Propane tanks ).

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications Required:

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse, or material handling environment.

Inventory & Math Skills:

Comfortable performing physical inventory/cycle counts accurately (experience counting parts, materials).

Communication & Teamwork:

Strong verbal communication skills to coordinate directly with Spot Weld operators and production staff.

Proactivity:

Ability to work independently, keep track of daily checklists, and anticipate line shortages before they stop production.

Safety Mindset:

Ability to work with forklift and pallet jacks in a safely manner in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50-75 lbs. regularly (moving carts, hardware bins, and handling heavy barrels/tanks). Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and be on your feet for an entire 8-hour shift on a shop floor. Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment with noise and temperature changes. Preferred (Nice to Have): Experience operating material handling equipment (pallet jacks, drum dollies, or forklifts). Prior experience in a metal fabrication or welding shop environment.

Pay:

$17.00 per hour
