Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our warehouse team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring all materials are received and shipped in compliance with company standards and food safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding environment.
Schedule :
M-F 7am-3:30pm Duties Receive and inspect incoming deliveries of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging supplies Verify shipment contents against packing slips and purchase orders Accurately document and enter received inventory into warehouse management systems Prepare, package, label, and palletize outbound shipments according to customer and carrier requirements Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently Maintain a clean and organized shipping/receiving area and adhere to food safety and sanitation standards Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or damages to supervisors Assist in monthly and cycle inventory counts Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP guidelines, and all company safety protocols Collaborate with production, quality control, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred 1+ years of warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience (preferably in a food manufacturing environment) Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and order fulfillment techniques. Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks. Forklift certification a plus (or willingness to obtain) Strong basic math skills for inventory tracking and order processing. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.. Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Must be able to work in a cold or refrigerated environment (if applicable)
