Overview Join our dynamic logistics team as a Gate Clerk, where you'll be the first point of contact at our distribution center's entry and exit points. This vital role ensures smooth and secure operations by managing access, overseeing shipping and receiving activities, and maintaining accurate records. Your energetic approach will help facilitate efficient warehouse distribution processes while delivering exceptional customer service to carriers, vendors, and internal teams. Responsibilities Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and carriers by verifying credentials and ensuring compliance with safety protocols Process inbound and outbound shipments using warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software such as AS400 or similar platforms Utilize RF scanners, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and order pickers to load and unload trucks efficiently while ensuring safety standards are met Maintain accurate shipping & receiving logs, inventory records, and inbound/outbound documentation through data entry and inventory management software Assist with order fulfillment tasks including picking & packing, stocking, packaging, and order picking to support warehouse distribution goals Support shipping logistics by coordinating with carriers for timely pickups and deliveries while adhering to trade compliance and international trade regulations when applicable Conduct visual inspections of shipments, perform yard audits, fence checks, and CCTV surveillance to uphold security measures at the gatehouse Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to ensure seamless flow of goods in accordance with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and warehouse procedures Experience Prior experience working in a warehouse environment or logistics setting is highly preferred Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems like AS400 or similar platforms Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes, order fulfillment, and inventory control practices Ability to operate forklifts (certification preferred), reach trucks, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment safely Strong basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal teams Knowledge of international trade regulations and trade compliance standards is a plus Join us as a Gate Clerk to be an integral part of our logistics network!
