Job Description

Job Position:
Warehouse QC & Cycle Counts 3rd
Shift Location:
Terrell, TX 75160
Pay Rate:
$17.00/hr

Summary:
Checker is responsible for safely, unload, move, and stack products as part of the shipping and receiving process. This role also includes checking incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, quality, and compliance with documentation. Work is performed in a temperature controlled warehouse environment, including coolers and freezers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • to move pallets and materials within the facility
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of products and secure placement
  • Check incoming shipments for correct product, quantity, and condition
  • Verify outbound shipments match pick tickets, load sheets, or shipping documentation
  • Tag and record damaged or missing items and report discrepancies to supervisor
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory movement in and out of storage areas
  • Assist in staging pallets for outbound shipments and organizing inbound product
  • Maintain clean and organized shipping/receiving areas
  • Follow all safety and PPE protocols, especially in cold storage environments
  • Complete paperwork and electronic logs accurately and on time
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by leadership
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods (8 - 10 hours per shift)
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and climbing stairs or ladders
  • Visual and manual dexterity required to operate equipment and verify documentation
  • Capable of wearing PPE such as gloves, masks, and insulated clothing for cold environment
Work Environment:
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including cold storage (cooler: 34°F - 65°F, freezer: - 10°F-0°F)
  • PPE (e.g., gloves, safety footwear, high-visibility vests, insulated clothing) is required and provided
  • Noise levels may vary depending on warehouse activity and machinery
  • Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holiday shifts, depending on operational needs
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • experience in a warehouse or distribution center
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to read and match documents (BOLs, packing lists, etc.)
  • Familiarity with warehouse inventory systems and handheld scanners is a plus Forklift experience is preferred but not required
