Job Description

The Shipping/Receiving Associate is responsible for performing clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods and receiving incoming shipments. May coordinate the activities of other workers engaged in handling goods to be shipped or being received.
Position Responsibilities:
Review, verify and sign in/out all deliveries. Track shipments as needed. Answer basic routine questions following pre-established guidelines and perform routine research. Elevate complex issues to leadership. Perform data entry and maintain documentation of receipts and shipping documents File and maintain paperwork associated with shipment/ deliveries Assist Accounts Payable with problem solving when needed. Lift and move heavy items/packages as required. Works under direct supervision and follows written/verbal instructions to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs other duties as assigned. Interacts directly with other departments with problem solving. Reconcile transactions based on direction from other departments. Answer routine questions following pre-established guidelines and perform routine research. Elevate complex issues to leadership. Train new employees to align with level 1 requirements. Works under minimal supervision to accomplish daily work.
Knowledge and Skills:
Good verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, and 10 key. Excellent math skills Strong level of attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task. Ability to solve complex problems with minimal supervision. Ability to interact with other key departments with minimal supervision ( Accounts Payable, Finance, Inventory Control)
Experience:
3 + years of similar experience, preferably in a high volume environment
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
