10/01/2026 Is Grant Funded?: No Job Description Summary Assists in verifying and keeping records of fixed asset inventory and incoming deliveries; prepares outgoing shipments for main campus as well as other college and off-site facilities. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required Education HS diploma or equivalent Required Experience 1-3 years related experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists in verifying and keeping records of incoming deliveries and outgoing shipments for all main campus departments on a daily basis as well as other college and off-site facilities as needed. Provides documentation by receiving log and purchase order copies to Accounts Payable Department to confirm receipt of orders. Compares identifying information and counts packages of incoming deliveries and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, purchase orders or other records. Loads and unloads delivery trucks. Delivers shipments to Wise County campus as needed. Assembles and installs office and classroom furniture when required. Inspects all deliveries for damaged items or shortages and documents any received. Routes deliveries to all departments. Picks up and prepares all items for shipment or return as necessary, determines method of shipment, requests return authorization from vendors and delivers documentation to Accounts Payable, affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying information on packaging and assembles the packaging, if necessary. Assists with daily outgoing shipments and reconciles weekly billing. Keeps detailed records of all outgoing shipments from shipping/receiving area. Operates forklift or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area. Maintains and operates all department vehicles. Assists in recording, assigning and affixing inventory tags to all fixed assets received. Moves fixed asset and surplus items to different locations or storage upon approval as necessary. Assists in preparing surplus property for auction and electronic waste recycling. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Delivers monthly water orders to locations on campus. Delivers copies of hazardous materials sheets to ordering department. Picks up mail from post office and performs duties of Mail Clerk in their absence. Other duties as assigned.
