Job Description
Position Summary The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the administrative coordination of the shipping and receiving process, including documentation management, data entry, and shipment scheduling. This individual will also assist with warehouse duties, including the packing and preparation of outbound orders, as operational needs require. Ideal Candidate Profile The successful candidate will demonstrate: A consistent, methodical approach to organizing documentation and records Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy The ability to identify and resolve discrepancies proactively Effective time management across multiple concurrent tasks and priorities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Organize and maintain documentation for all inbound and outbound shipments, including packing slips, purchase orders, and bills of lading Enter and update shipment data accurately within the company's order management system and internal shipping report Schedule outbound shipments and coordinate delivery timelines with carriers and internal departments Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and report discrepancies as needed Liaise with vendors, carriers, and warehouse personnel to resolve shipping-related issues in a timely manner Maintain accurate, consistent, and current records across all shipping systems Assist with picking, packing, and preparing outbound orders as required Support the maintenance of an organized and orderly warehouse environment Perform additional shipping and receiving duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency with spreadsheet and data entry systems; Excel experience preferred Prior experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, or warehouse administration preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and perform physical tasks in a warehouse setting Ability to successfully pass a background check, as required for government contracting environments Employment Type Full-time, Mon-Fri, 830am-5pm Location On-site —
