#LI-Skilled-01-SP1 Job Summary Join our team in Norfolk, VA, a vibrant city known for its rich history, beautiful waterfront, and thriving arts scene. As a Record Center Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the management and organization of our storage solutions. Responsibilities Frequently kneel, squat, reach, and bend forward throughout shifts. Move, arrange, lift, and load storage boxes, bins, and totes weighing from 24lbs to over 100lbs. Manually move boxes and use hand carts for transportation. Process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials. Lift, carry, and arrange boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting. Load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks on uneven and concrete surfaces. Read labels and process incoming and outgoing orders using the proprietary computer system. Operate a handheld scanner and climb ladders safely. Load and shrink-wrap pallets at ground level or on carts. Load boxes onto pallets and load pallets onto trucks manually and with material handling aids. Qualifications Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods. Capability to grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes, including up and down inclines, stairs, and over changes in walking surfaces/elevation without assistance. Proficiency in reading and writing English. Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 100 lbs. without assistance for prolonged periods. Experience with loading, operating, and moving hand carts, pallet jacks, and various other material handling aids. Protective footwear meeting
ASTM F2413-11
standards with a slip-resistant rating of "Better or Best" is required. Work Schedule Normal work schedule consists of 5 days a week, 9 hours a day, including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
