Full Job Description About Us:
Benchmark Woodworks is a commercial millwork company specializing in cabinetry, countertops, reception desks, and architectural woodwork servicing projects from South Carolina to Washington, DC.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized and dependable shipping associate to manage the preparation, tracking, storage, and delivery of completed items. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, ambitious, and takes pride in accuracy. Much of the position involves working within our ERP system to track products throughout the warehouse and delivery process. Responsibilities Review the company delivery calendar and prepare products for upcoming deliveries. Palletize and organize cabinets, countertops, reception desks, and miscellaneous millwork products. Accurately track products in the company ERP system, including pallet numbers, storage locations, and delivery information. Scan and update individual items in the ERP system as they are loaded onto delivery vehicles. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. Verify that all items scheduled for delivery are accounted for before leaving the facility. Maintain an organized and clean warehouse and loading area. Ensure products are properly protected to prevent damage, loss, or misplacement. Follow established procedures and directions from supervisors. Identify problems or inefficiencies and make suggestions for improvement. Communicate any discrepancies, missing items, damaged products, or scheduling issues to supervisors. Maintain accurate records and ensure ERP information is consistently up to date. Assist with deliveries and other warehouse-related duties as needed. Qualifications Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Comfortable working with computers and ERP systems. Able to consistently follow procedures and instructions. Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Ambitious and willing to take initiative. Willing to identify problems and suggest solutions. Reliable and punctual. Able to safely lift and move heavy items, including products weighing up to 150 lbs. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to speak and understand English. Previous warehouse, delivery, construction, or millwork experience is preferred but not required. What We Are Looking For The right person for this position is someone who keeps track of the details, stays organized, and follows through. You should be comfortable looking at the company schedule, determining what needs to be prepared, making sure everything is properly labeled and entered into the ERP system, and ensuring the correct products make it onto the correct truck. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, notices when something is not working correctly, and is willing to make suggestions rather than simply overlooking a problem. Accuracy, organization, reliability, and initiative are extremely important in this position.
